Hi Girls:

I’m Carol and live in the beautiful Alamo City, San Antonio, Texas with my wonderful husband Greg (he’ll like that) and our three equally wonderful kids.  Melody is 22, our twins Dave and Matt  are 20 and my delightful grandson, Cecil who is the light of my life just turned 2.

I’m committed to God, to my family and to living happy, joyous and free.  I’m also committed to saving money and being a good steward of the resources we’ve been given and I do that by clipping coupons and searching for bargains; there’s more information on my Shopping Page.  My new life of recovery began at age 31 and when Greg and I met we had a mountain of debt, but we purposed to pay it off no matter how long it took or what sacrifice was required.  We cut up our credit cards, made up our minds not use debt and in 2 years we were totally debt free and have continued to live that way.

God has blessed us abundantly over the years, not just financially but in every other way

Life can be miserable if we’re constantly worrying about money and how to pay bills, often spending money we don’t have on things we don’t need.  We can all learn to be frugal – and enjoy it!!  It really is fun to save money, we feel good about ourselves and others. If we save money on groceries and other things we need to buy, we’ll be able to buy some “extras” and do fun things without going into debt.

God meant for us to “have and enjoy our lives” but peace and joy don’t come from buying everything you want.  Money problems are a huge stress on a marriage and on your health – let’s live life to the fullest and learn how to make the most of the money we have.
